This Privacy Policy explains how YorYor ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information. It applies to the YorYor mobile apps for iOS and Android, the YorYor Telegram Mini App, and the yor-yor.com website. YorYor is a marriage-introduction service for Uzbek, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Tajik, Turkmen and other Central Asian people worldwide. Privacy is central to what we do: your search for a life partner is personal, and we treat it that way. YorYor is operated by Davinci Tech Solutions LLC, 2538 E 17th St, Apt 1, Brooklyn, NY 11235, USA.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the information you give us, and a limited amount of technical data needed to run the service:
Account details: your phone number and/or email address (verified with a one-time code), name, date of birth, and gender
Sign-in identifiers when you choose Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, or Telegram login
Profile content: photos, bio, interests, and preferences you choose to share — including optional special-category details such as your nationality or ethnicity, your religion and your level of religious practice, and your marriage intention and timeline. These are collected only with your explicit consent and are shown only as you configure them (see section 8)
Verification data: a selfie and, if you choose ID verification, your identity document — used only to confirm your identity and keep fake profiles out
Location: your precise location, only with your permission; other users see your location at city level only
Messages you send and receive in chats. Voice and video calls are not recorded; we process only the connection data needed to establish calls
Purchase history for in-app purchases (for example, roses and premium features)
Device and log data: device model, device identifiers and push notification tokens, IP address, app version, language, and crash/error logs
If you use the Telegram Mini App: your Telegram ID, name, username, photo, and language, as provided by Telegram
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only to run and improve YorYor — never to sell it, and we show no third-party advertising inside the app:
Suggesting compatible introductions based on your preferences, your marriage profile, your values-quiz answers and your location
Showing your profile to other users according to your visibility settings
Keeping the community safe: photo and ID verification, content moderation, handling reports, and preventing fraud, scams, and banned users from returning
Sending you notifications (push, SMS, or Telegram) about introductions, messages, and account activity
Processing your purchases and support requests
Answering the questions you send to the in-app AI assistant
Improving the service using aggregated, de-identified statistics
Forwarding an introduction request to a guardian you linked yourself, and showing that guardian only what the permissions you granted allow
Letting a verified sovchi you authorised see your profile and propose introductions to you
Running the AI Sovchi for you after you consented to it (see section 11)
3. Service Providers We Share Data With
We never sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with the service providers below, only to the extent needed to operate YorYor, under agreements that require them to protect it:
Hosting and storage: Hetzner (application servers, EU/US) and Cloudflare R2 (encrypted photo and media storage)
SMS delivery for login codes: Telnyx and Eskiz
Push notifications: Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android) and Apple Push Notification service (iOS)
Voice and video calls: VideoSDK and Agora
Payments: Apple In-App Purchase, Google Play Billing, Stripe, and Telegram Stars — we never see or store your full card details
Sign-in providers: Google, Apple, and Telegram, when you choose those sign-in options
AI Sovchi: the messages you type to the in-app assistant, and the structured profile and candidate data our own servers prepare for it, are processed by Alibaba Cloud Model Studio (Qwen models) acting as our processor under a contract that forbids using your data to train their models. Section 11 states exactly what is and is not sent
Crash reporting: Sentry and Google Firebase Crashlytics receive crash and error logs (device model, OS version, and stack traces) so we can fix bugs. This is not used for advertising
App usage analytics: Google Firebase Analytics records which screens you open in the mobile apps so we can improve YorYor. This is not used for advertising and is not sold
Website only: yor-yor.com uses Google Ads measurement for our marketing campaigns and Google reCAPTCHA on the contact form. The mobile apps contain no advertising SDKs
Authorities: we disclose data only in response to a valid legal request
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on servers operated by Hetzner in the EU and US, with photos and media in encrypted Cloudflare R2 storage. All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted (TLS/HTTPS), passwords are stored only as secure hashes, and access to personal data inside our team is strictly limited. No online service can guarantee absolute security — if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support [at] yor-yor.com.
5. Data Retention & Account Deletion
We keep your data only while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time:
In the app: Settings → Delete Account
Without the app: follow the steps at yor-yor.com/delete-account
Your profile is hidden immediately. Deletion of your photos, introductions, and messages is completed within 30 days
If you sign in again within those 30 days, we may restore the account so you do not lose your introductions. After 30 days, deletion is permanent
We keep a limited record longer only where the law requires it (for example, payment records for tax law) or where strictly necessary for safety (for example, preventing banned users from creating new accounts)
Data in encrypted backups is purged on the backup rotation schedule
6. Your Rights
You are in control of your data. At any time you can:
Access and export your data by emailing support [at] yor-yor.com with the subject "Data export"
Correct your profile information directly in the app
Delete your account and data (see section 5)
Withdraw permissions — for example, disable location access in your device settings
Object to how we process your data, or ask a human to review an automated decision
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the rights provided by the GDPR, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. Users in Uzbekistan have the rights provided by the Law "On Personal Data". Users in the United States may also contact us at the address below. 7. Age Policy — 18+
YorYor is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We collect your date of birth at registration, use store-level age safeguards, and remove accounts of anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have, we delete the account. If you believe a user is underage, report them in the app or write to support [at] yor-yor.com. See also our Child Safety Standards at yor-yor.com/child-safety.
8. Special-Category Data: Nationality, Ethnicity and Religion
YorYor asks for information that data protection law treats as special-category (sensitive) data: your nationality or ethnicity, your religion, and your level of religious practice. We ask for it because it is what marriage introductions in our community are actually based on, and for no other reason. Every one of these fields is optional. Each one offers a "prefer not to say" choice, and you can clear any of them later in Settings → Marriage profile. We store them only after you tick the consent box on the heritage and faith screen, which states what is collected and why; that consent is recorded with a timestamp against your account. If you withdraw consent by clearing the fields, we delete the values and stop using them for introductions — the rest of your account is unaffected. We use this data to show it on your profile exactly as you configured it, to let other people filter and rank introductions by it, to compute the compatibility summary shown on each profile, and to let a verified sovchi you authorised see it. We never use it for advertising, we never sell it, we never share it with anyone beyond the service providers listed in section 3, and we never use it to make a decision that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you. Where the GDPR applies, our legal basis for processing these fields is your explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a); withdrawing that consent is always possible and never costs you your account.
9. Family Involvement (Guardians)
YorYor lets you invite a family member as a guardian (vasiy). This is always your decision: nobody can attach themselves to your account, and every guardian link starts from an invitation you created yourself. An invitation is a link and an 8-character code that expire after 48 hours and can be accepted once. Anyone who opens the link before it expires sees only the first name of the person who invited them, the family relationship and the expiry time — no photos, no contact details, no identifiers. Once a guardian accepts, they see exactly what the permissions you granted allow and nothing else: your profile as other users see it; summaries of the introduction requests you send and receive, with the other person's photo only when that person's photos are public; approvals waiting for them; your activity log; and, only if you granted the chat permission, your conversations in read-only form. A guardian can never see private photos, phone numbers, email addresses or precise location — neither yours nor those of anyone you talk to — can never send a message, and can never request or accept an introduction on your behalf. Whenever a guardian on either side can read a conversation, both participants are shown a badge saying so for as long as that permission lasts; the badge cannot be hidden. Guardians must be 18 or over. You can change any permission or remove a guardian at any moment in Settings → Family; removal takes effect immediately and ends that guardian's access. Guardian actions — accepting an invitation, approving or declining an introduction, blocking someone on your behalf — are written to an activity log you can read. An approval request expires after 72 hours; when it expires, the conversation opens without it.
10. Verified Sovchi (Matchmaker) Access
A sovchi is a human matchmaker with a YorYor account, verified by our team before they may take a single client. Only verified sovchi appear in the directory. A sovchi gains access to your data only after you authorise them from their profile, and only to the extent of the three permissions you grant: see your full profile and preferences, propose introductions to you, and message you. What an authorised sovchi sees is your profile, your marriage preferences and filters, and the introductions they proposed together with the answers to them. A sovchi never sees your private photos, your messages with anyone else, your phone number, your email address or your precise location — and never sees any of those for the people they suggest to you either. When a sovchi browses candidates on behalf of a client, the search runs under that client's own visibility rules: blocked users, hidden profiles, people already passed or already introduced, and anyone who switched off "Allow sovchi to suggest me" are not returned, and private photos stay private. You control that switch in Settings → Privacy; it is on by default, and turning it off removes you from every sovchi's candidate list immediately. Every introduction proposed by a sovchi shows their name and their written reason to both people involved. You can change the permissions or end the engagement at any time in Settings → Sovchi; access ends immediately. Verification is a check we perform on the sovchi outside the app: we record the decision and an internal note, not the documents we were shown.
11. The AI Sovchi (Automated Processing)
The AI Sovchi is an optional assistant inside the app. It starts only after you read a consent screen describing what it reads, what it can do and where it runs, and tap Start; the moment of that consent is stored on your account. What is sent to the AI provider: the text you type, the text the assistant already wrote in the same conversation, and the structured results our own servers produced for it — your profile fields, your preferences and quiz answers, and, when you ask it to find someone, a first name, age, city, compatibility summary and short reason for each candidate. What is never sent: user identifiers, phone numbers, email addresses, precise location, private photos, and any data about people your own visibility rules would not show you anyway. What it can do: ask you questions, explain compatibility, suggest people, draft the note you attach to an introduction, and propose a change to your own preferences. What it cannot do: act on its own. Every action is a card you confirm or dismiss; nothing is sent, saved or changed until you tap. It cannot message anyone, cannot exceed your daily introduction limit, and cannot reach anyone you blocked, anyone who blocked you or anyone hidden from you. Provider: the AI Sovchi runs on Alibaba Cloud Model Studio (Qwen models), acting as our processor under a contract that forbids using your data to train their models. Please do not type anything into the assistant that you would not want processed by a service provider. Retention and deletion: the conversation is stored on our servers so that it is the same on every device you sign in from. You can delete the entire conversation history at any time from the AI Sovchi tab (menu → Delete conversation); deletion is immediate and cannot be undone, and deleting your account deletes it too. We keep per-request usage records (time, token counts, cost) for up to 12 months for cost control and abuse prevention; those records contain no message text. This is not automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects: the assistant proposes, you decide, and the Introductions tab always works without it.
12. Cookies (Website)
The yor-yor.com web app uses cookies that are necessary for signing in and security. Our marketing pages use Google Ads measurement to understand how our advertising performs. The YorYor mobile apps do not use advertising cookies or advertising trackers. They do use crash reporting and basic in-app analytics as described in section 3.
13. International Data Transfers
YorYor serves Central Asian families worldwide — Uzbek, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Tajik, Turkmen and neighbouring nations, and your data is processed on servers in the EU and US regardless of where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers, and our providers commit to protecting your data wherever it is processed.
14. Changes to This Policy
When we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by notification before the change takes effect.
